He further assured the court that he would not attempt to contact the complainant, witnesses or her guardian, and maintained that he was not a danger to the community.

The State informed the court that the complainant was not opposed to bail being granted.

Bail was granted on March 17 under strict conditions, including that the accused may not directly or indirectly contact the victim, her family or witnesses, and may not come within 50 metres of the school.
Any breach of these conditions will result in his arrest.
The accused remains out on bail and is expected to return to court on August 13.
