Talk on bird strikes at airports

SENIOR wildlife control officer at Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), Melissa Hofmann, will talk about the management of wildlife at South African airports at Modderfontein Conservation Society’s (MCS) evening meeting on January 15.

The meeting takes place at Modderfontein Town Hall at 1 Casino Road and starts at 7.30pm.

Hofmann is based at OR Tambo International Airport and will angle her talk specifically on bird strike avoidance. 

Visitors are welcome to attend this meeting. An entrance fee of R30 is charged to help cover expenses.
