National Braai Day

Heritage Day
There are few things more South African than a group of friends gathering around some smouldering coals, putting away a few “cold ones” and sharing stories with each other.
While we have a rich heritage, across many cultures, filled with stories of wars fought. Those lost and those won. Of heroes and saints. Stories of those who made sacrifices for freedom and those who were responsible for impeding it. As a country we share so many colours and cultures, languages and legends but what makes each of us South African is our love for all things braai.
The braai world have evolved from the basic steak and wors to having gourmet options now and even ready to braai desserts. Every family has their own tradition, a special recipe and their go-to guest list to get the most out of our longer warmer days as we head into our summer season.
We would like to encourage all of Kempton Park, to ready your braai and join the rest of the country as we gather to enjoy an age-old tradition. Whether Oupa is making his famous potjie or Dad has to try the latest gourmet braai pie, may your Braai Day, 24 September, be filled with fun, family and fabulous food. Enjoy!
