Vote for your December bride

January brides must enter now

THIS is the last round of the 2013 Kempton Express/Pick n Pay Bride of the Year Competition.

This week readers must vote for their favourite December bride.

To vote for your favourite, SMS your name, followed by “bestbride” and the bride’s number, to 35592. Example: Daphne Groenewald bestbride7. An SMS costs R1,50 and you can vote as many times you wish.

The winning bride will receive a R1 000 shopping voucher from sponsor Pick n Pay, while the reader who picks the winner will get a R500 voucher.

Lines open on Thursday and the closing date for votes is Wednesday, February 19 at midnight.

The SMS votes will count 30% of the vote and the other 70% will be determined by a panel of judges.

January competition

With the 2014 competition kicking off, brides who want to enter the January competition can email their photographs to kemptonexpress@caxton.co.za with “Bride of the Year” in the subject line.

There is a slight change in the photographs that must be entered. From now on we require a head and shoulders and full length picture of the bride on her own.

The photographs must be a jpeg attachment bigger than 500KB (not bigger than 4MB). Wrong entries will not be accepted. If the size of the photographs together exceed 4MB, send in separate emails.

Only brides who were married in January 2014 can enter.

The following details must accompany the photograph: bride’s name and maiden name, groom’s name and surname, bride and groom’s ages, date and venue of wedding, current residential address, bride’s contact details.

The monthly winner will have to provide proof of her wedding date (marriage certificate).

The closing date for January brides to enter is February 28.
