Thugs are in trouble

Two women who attended a one-day course on self defence at the Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, are warning thugs that the time of threatening and robbing women on the streets is over.

Ms Christine Matsoale, from Ivory Park, said that even though she has never been a victim of crime, those who are thinking of committing crime in her area are in danger.

“I learnt a lot today. I can now defend myself and also hit back. The only thing left now is to join a gym and improve my mobility,” she said.

Ms Ngele, from Botswana, said she came to South Africa to attend the conference, but is happy to have attended Women’s Day with fellow Christians.

“I am going to teach other women about self defence. Right now I feel that no one can ever bully me again,” she said.
