DRIVERS and their passengers were lucky to escape serious injury in two motor vehicle accidents at the weekend.
Three vehicles were involved in an accident on Pretoria Road near Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School on Saturday at about 1pm.
According to Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesman for the metro police, no one sustained any injuries.
The other accident occurred on Sunday night on the P91 near the Rienert Road intersection when a car overturned. As far as EXPRESS could establish no one was seriously injured either.
In another accident on December 2 at about 4.10pm, a woman was left with an injured shoulder after two cars had collided on the corner of Central and Langenhoven avenues. The woman was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the accident.
According to metro police on the scene, both drivers blamed each other for skipping a red traffic light.
Emer-G-Med paramedics took the injured woman to Arwyp.
