Man critical after pedestrian accident on Zuurfontein Road

A 28-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was hit by a car on Wednesday evening at the CR Swart Drive and Zuurfontein Road intersection in Kempton Park.

ER24 paramedics and emergency services arrived on the scene and found the male patient lying on the side of the road in a serious condition.

According to Russel Meiring, paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained multiple fractures to his legs and arms.

The patient was treated and stabilised on the scene before he was transported to a Tembisa Hospital for further treatment.

It is believed that the man failed to notice the oncoming vehicle when he attempted to cross the road. The driver of the vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
