hijacked vehicles were recovered by metro police on the same day

TWO vehicles hijacked on Tuesday had been found in Tembisa the same day.

One was hijacked in Pretoria and the other in Norkem Park.

According to Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, the owner of a white VW Golf from Arcadia in Pretoria had his vehicle taken at gunpoint on Van Der Walt Street in Pretoria during the early hours of Tuesday morning. He was dumped near Olifantsfontein where he reported the hijacking.

His car was recovered by the metro police when found abandoned at Mqantsa Section opposite the BP filling station in Tembisa.

During the same morning, the owner of a silver grey Hyundai suffered the same fate when his vehicle was hijacked at gunpoint at around 6am at his home in Norkem Park.

The metro police recovered the vehicle at 10am on Try-again Street in Phomolong Section, Tembisa.

Both vehicles were recovered intact. The culprits are still at large.
