Kasi Career Expo in Tembisa
The two-day expo was hosted at the Kingdom Care Centre in Entshonalanga Extension.
The first Kasi Career Expo took place in Tembisa on July 3.
The two-day expo was hosted at the Kingdom Care Centre in Entshonalanga Extension.
Scores of students flocked to the event.
According to Zuziwe Mkhwanazi, the Kasi Career Expo aimed to facilitate conversations around career opportunities for previously disadvantaged township students.
Ms Monica Tong, the project’s manager, said other organisations take career expos to the suburbs and forget that there are underprivileged children in the township.
“Township children don’t have access to go to those suburbs, hence Wise Communications, a division of InvesTong Group, decided to host the career expo in Tembisa,” said Ms Tong.
Mkhwanazi said the expo boasted more than 150 exhibitors, sponsors and partners that are committed to creating a brighter and more sustainable future in South Africa.
