Con Amore market will now be in September
This is the school's 22nd market
THIS year’s annual Con Amore Market (previously known as Con Amore Christmas Market) will be hosted by Crafters fair.
The market (previously held in October) will now be hosted in September – just in time for a warm, indoor spring market with outdoor food stalls.
This will be Con Amore School’s 22nd market.
There will be plenty of stalls to peruse, as well as food stalls and a tea garden. It will be the ideal opportunity to purchase gifts too.
Con Amore Market is a fund-raising project to help raise much-needed funds for the Esther Park school.
Sponsorship and donations are becoming fewer and smaller due to the overwhelming amount of deserving causes depending on donor support for survival, making it difficult for Con Amore School to raise funds.
Con Amore is a school for learners with severe intellectual disabilities who require specific learning skills, which are being provided for by the dedicated and able personnel of the school.
Despite the disabilities, these learners can be an asset to society and not a burden. Some of the skills training programs that Con Amore offer include gardening, car wash, art classes, horse and dog therapy as well as cooking, baking and house-keeping.
Products made by the learners of Con Amore will also be for sale at the market.
The event will be extended to a seven days affair and will start from the public holiday on September 24 until September 30 at the school on Sable Street.
People can visit during the day from 9am until 7pm every day, except on Sunday when it will close at 4pm.
Please support Con Amore School by visiting this amazing market. Put the date down on your diary, calendar or cell phone so you won’t forget.
