Kempton SAPS spend day at MES Kids Festival

The kids and the community had an opportunity to interact with the police and ask questions related to crime issues

MEMBERS of the police service spent the day bonding with children at the MES Kids Festival on Saturday.

Officials of the Gauteng and Kempton Park SAPS Corporate Communication division attended the festival, including spokesperson for Kempton police, Capt Jethro Mtshali, which was hosted at Maranatha Community Church by the MES.

It was a fun filled day for the kids and the communication officers, who had an opportunity to interact with the children and respond to questions related to crime issues, including tips on how to prevent crime.

“On behalf of the SAPS we would like to thank the members of the community for their love and appreciation for the excellent work performed by the police in the area,” Mtshali said.

“The police would like to engage more often with the community and also thank the MES Festival organisers for the invitation and opportunity to interact with the community.”
