A black Toyota Yaris that was stolen almost a year ago was recovered in the parking lot of Emperors Palace on Sunday (September 6).
According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, Kempton police received a tip-off at about 9.10pm about a suspicious vehicle with two occupants parked at the casino complex.
“On arrival police checked the above mentioned vehicle and discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen in Boschkop (Pretoria) in December 2014,” Mtshali said.
The two suspects, aged 28 and 30, were arrested and will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court soon for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
