A 23-year-old woman, charged with the murder of her 28-year-old boyfriend in Winnie Mandela, has been remanded into custody.

The Tembisa Magistrate’s Court postponed the murder case to September 29.

The suspect was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death on Wednesday last week.

The Tembisa SAPS communications officer, Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha, said it was alleged that the woman had an argument with her boyfriend, who is 28 years old.

“A fight ensued between the two. The woman allegedly grabbed a sharp object and stabbed her boyfriend in his upper body. The man was later found lying in a pool of blood in the room,” said Capt Ralidzivha.
