Bonaero Park murder accused back in court

The case was postponed to October 30 pending further investigations

THE Bonaero Park man accused of murdering his daughter’s boyfriend again briefly appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning.

John Edgar Paul van Heerden (61) is accused of stabbing to death 37-year-old Richard Ryan McKenzie, who was the accused’s daughter’s boyfriend.

It is alleged that on the night of August 9, Van Heerden stabbed McKenzie several times following an altercation at their O’Hare street home.

McKenzie was later certified dead by paramedics at the scene.

The case has been postponed to October 30, pending further investigations.
