WATCH: Men caught changing car’s plates in Glen Marais

The incident took place at the corner of Wildevy and Taaibos avenues

A Glen Marais resident by accident recorded two men changing a car’s registration plates in Glen Marais on Sunday afternoon, September 20.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, spotted the vehicle as it pulled over.

“First we found it to be non-suspicious as we suspected they might have driven over something which they were removing from the front of the car,” said the resident.

“But once the second passenger got out and grabbed the back number plate, it became apparent they were unlawfully changing/removing the plates from the car. We shouted at them. First, the guy was shocked that we witnessed them. He then got back into the car and they quickly left the area.

“We informed the local community group of the incident and the community then scouted the area, however, the vehicle was already gone.”

The incident took place at the corner of Wildevy and Taaibos avenues in Glen Marais ext 1.
