THE murder charge against Jacques van Tonder, the SAA pilot accused of shooting Louis Jansen van Rensburg in an apparent road rage incident, had been withdrawn.
The 44-year-old Bonaero Park father appeared it Kempton Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning where the charge was withdrawn pending further investigations.

According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton SAPS, the Department of Public Prosecutions will launch an inquest into the matter, which, depending on the outcome, will determine whether or not charges against Van Tonder will be reinstated.
Van Tonder, who is represented by Piet du Plessis allegedly shot and killed Van Rensburg on May 6 in Bonaero Park.
Van Tonder’s two daughters were with him in the car on the day of the incident, apparently being driven to school by their father.
