“The two officers spotted the suspects during patrols in the area. They looked suspicious and when they saw police they tried to drop the bag they were carrying,” explained Molokomme.

The suspects, he said, were cornered by the police.

“Upon searching the bag, the officers found a video camera, four video cassettes and a power adaptor. The two suspects failed to give a clear explanation to the police as lawful owners,” added Molokomme.

The suspects, aged 51 and 36 years old, will face charges of possession of suspected stolen property.

A total of 25 arrests were made over the weekend of October 23 to October 25.

Molokomme said the arrests followed operations conducted by police and the EMPD.
