A 28-year-old man appeared in the Palm Ridge High Court on October 26 on five charges of rape.
Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the accused allegedly lured his victims to the Olifantsfontein Train Station by promising them employment.
“He approached a 30-year-old woman at Phumlani Mall in Tembisa and later took her to the train station in the evening, promising her that she is going to work a night shift.
“He later raped her. Another woman was approached while in the Pretoria, Zambezi, area.
“This woman was also promised work. He later raped her in the bushes behind the station. Two women were approached in Johannesburg and another in Kempton Park. All his victims were raped in the open bush areas around Olifantsfontein and next to the Tembisa Hospital,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
The case was postponed to November 18 for trial.
