A Norkem Park resident was severely assaulted by six hijackers before they fled with his VW Scirocco on Saturday night.
His vehicle, as well as two others and a goods truck, were recovered in a joint operation by the metro police, Gauteng Traffic, police and a tracking company.

Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, said a white VW Toureg SUV, hijacked in Midrand, was recovered at around 11pm on Benny Fish Street in Kaalfontein ext 2.
On the same night, a Mercedes Benz C180, hijacked at 9pm in Glen Austin in Midrand, was found abandoned in Ivory Park at 11.30pm.
The VW Scirocco was recovered at 3am on November 8 at Tshenolong Section in Tembisa.
Kgasago said a Volvo truck, carrying dairy products valued at around R2.5-million, hijacked in Boksburg, was recovered with its load missing in Ivory Park. At the time of the recovery, the driver was missing.
All the recovered vehicles were taken to the SAPS Van Ryn Deep pound in Benoni.
No arrests were made as all the recovered vehicles were found abandoned. Investigations are underway to apprehend the culprits.
