Two people were found murdered in Boksburg

While two elderly people were found dead in their homes in Boksburg on Thursday, Kempton Park SAPS has launched an investigation into the disappearance of a 78-year-old grandmother from Kempton Park.

A 75-year-old man was found dead under a blanket in his house on Goldband Street, Lillianton in Boksburg on Thursday afternoon. A woman, who was still alive and not injured, was found with the man. They were both covered with a blanket.

Boksburg police have also launched a murder investigation after a 74-year-old woman was found brutally murdered in her house in Langenhoven Street in Parkrand, Boksburg at 6pm the same evening.

The woman’s body was found in her garage, buried under heavy objects, including a steel structure and a wooden bridge. She was stabbed three times.

In the meantime Kempton Park SAPS is looking for a Kempton Park grandmother who was reported missing on Thursday.

Anna Dorothea Wilhemina Stassen (78) was last seen at her home in Spekboom Avenue on Wednesday morning, according to Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali.

“We have launched a manhunt for the missing woman. We will have our sniffer dogs out searching in open fields and dams around Kempton,” Mtshali said.
