Son, girlfriend questioned about missing granny

Police are still in the search for the woman's body

FIRST they denied knowing her whereabouts, and now the son and girlfriend of the missing Kempton grandmother  have been arrested in connection with her death.

According to Kempton police’s spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, Anna Dorothea Wilhelmina Stassen’s son and girlfriend confessed to killing the 78-year-old woman and dumping her body in Mpumalanga.

The couple allegedly beat her to death in their Spekboom home on Monday and allegedly dumped the body on Wednesday.

”Police went on a search for her in Mpumalanga. Various areas were searched, including Moloto Dam, but to no avail. But we will not give up until we find the victim’s body, ” Mtshali confirmed.

Mtshali said  the two could not recall where they dumped the body.
