Members of the Crime Intelligence Unit, together with the Ivory Park SAPS, have arrested three suspects aged 26, 27 and 28 for a murder and house robbery that occurred in Olifantsfontein on Sunday.
It is thought the suspects killed a man and stole his property, including a motor vehicle.
The Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, said the deceased was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
“Crime intelligence members received a tip-off which included a home address and suspected stolen property, which was taken during a murder incident. On arrival, they found a man and a woman inside the house.
“The police searched the house and found the suspected stolen property,” said W/O Sekgobela.
The two suspects led SAPS members to their accomplices who reside in Olifantsfontein.
“The suspects also informed the police about the whereabouts of the deceased’s car, which was recovered in an open veld in Kempton Park. The three were arrested and charged with murder, house robbery and possession of suspected stolen items by the Ivory Park SAPS,” W/O Sekgobela said.
