A tip-off about an apparent drug den in Long Street, Kempton led to the arrest of a Nigerian national for fraud on Wednesday last week.
The 27-year-old will now appear in court for being in possession of a fraudulent passport and asylum documents.

According to Kempton police spokesperson Capt Jethro Mtshali the police originally received a tip-off regarding premises in Long Street where there was alleged to be dealing in drugs.
“Under the guidance of Col Malesela Mapulane, Head of Kempton’s Crime Prevention Unit, police officers went to investigate and conduct a formal drug search at the said property,” Mtshali said.
Upon searching the house no drugs were discovered.
However, members of the unit came across suspicious passport and asylum documents that were, upon closer inspection, discovered to be fraudulent.
