One man was injured in a shooting incident on the N1 highway near Malibongwe turn-off in Randburg this afternoon.
Russel Meiring of ER24 said paramedics were returning to their branch when they came across the incident. On inspection, paramedics found a male patient lying in the slow lane of the highway.
On assessment, they saw the patient had sustained moderate injuries to his head. ER24 paramedics treated the patient and transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The details surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
