AN alleged Nigerian drug dealer was nabbed at a Long Street flat on Thursday afternoon in possession of Cat with an estimated street value of R300 000.
The arrest was made by the metro police’s drug enforcement unit at 1.30pm.
Lt Col Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, said they received reliable information about the man operating from the flat.

He said surveillance of the suspect was carried out over a period of three days. The opportune time to pounce on the suspect presented itself on Thursday. The man was found in his room unpacking a huge quantity of the illicit substance that was mostly in block forms.
“The EMPD’s bumper to bumper operations, aimed at all kinds of lawbreaking, is on-going with the intention of breaking the back of criminality in our city,” Kgasago said.
The 46-year-old male was charged with possession of illicit substances as well as suspected drug dealing at Kempton Park Police Station.
