A driver and his accomplice from a logistics company in Meyerton are missing after attempting to steal their boss’ 15m Hino truck by jamming the tracker device.
The incident happened on Monday morning last week.

The truck was recovered by Pulse Track, along with Capital Air and Sebenza SAPS on Rigger Road in Cresslawn.
The owner of the truck said when a jamming device is picked up, their tracking company puts the truck or vehicle in “limp-mode”, which means it cuts off the engine so the vehicle cannot move at all.
“The truck left our warehouse at 7.15am to drop off take-away containers at a nearby business,” he said.
”We received a notification from Pulse Track at 8.20am that a jamming device was picked up, but when they arrived on the scene there was no one at the truck. They must have taken fright when the truck didn’t want to move and ran away,” Sebenza SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Sharon Tstotsotso, said.
