SA woman nabbed with 5.7kg of cocaine

'We have established from her passport entries that she has been a regular visitor abroad'

A South African woman (32) was nabbed at OR Tambo International Airport on May 6 for being in possession of 5.7kg of cocaine worth R1.6 million.

According to Brig Vishnu Naidoo, national police spokesman, the woman arrived from Dubai.

“During a joint operation consisting of members of the South African Police Service’s Trans International Investigation Unit, Tactical Response Team, Intelligence and K9 Units, police found a stash of drugs hidden in tins which were nicely sealed,” Naidoo said.

“We have established from her passport entries that she has been a regular visitor abroad.”
