ANOTHER drug mule who resorted to swallowing bullets of cocaine was nabbed at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday.
The value of the 1.1kg of cocaine discovered in his stomach was R325 000.
Brig Hangwani Mulaudzi said a routine search by the Trans-national Investigation Team of the South African Police Service at the airport has resulted in the arrest of the foreign national.
The 46-year-old man, who was travelling on a Nigerian-issued passport, was arrested as he was about to catch a connecting flight to Lagos, Nigeria. He was coming from Sao Paolo, Brazil.

He told airport police, who were performing routine duties, that the purpose of his visit to the South American country was to visit one of his friends. However, when he was subjected to searching processes, including the use of scanners, it emerged the suspect had swallowed something, which turned out to be cocaine.
He has since been charged with dealing in drugs.
This arrest followed a similar arrest made on May 31 when a 31-year-old man, also travelling on a Nigerian-issued passport, was found to have swallowed half a kilogramme of cocaine valued at almost R200 000.
