Abandoned clothing recovered in Birch Acres

The clothing was recovered on Corner Mooi Rivier and Pongola drive, Birch Acres on Sunday, June 5 at around 3:30am

NORKEM Park SAPS is appealing to anyone who was a victim of their toddler’s clothing being stolen on Sunday, June 5 to come forward.

“On Sunday June, 5, at around 3:30am, Norkem Park patrollers spotted a suspect at corner Mooi Rivier and Pongola drive, Birch Acres, walking in the open veld looking suspicious. He was in possession of a big bag,” said Norkem Park SAPS spokesman Capt Lesibana Molokomme.

“When approached by the patrollers, he started to run and jump over walls. A back up from police and other security companies arrived to search for the suspect to no avail,” Molokomme added.

Inside the bag, toddler’s clothing and other items were found.

“We are appealing to anyone who might be a victim of such a crime that took place during that period to come forward to the Norkem Park Saps for identification.”

The owner of the belongings may ask for the store manager, Sgt Selolo, or Micheal Bogoba between 8am and 3:30pm on weekdays.
