The Edenvale SAPS are asking for more information from the public in connection with a case of attempted murder and armed robbery that took place on May 20.
In an update from the SAPS given on June 20, Edenvale SAPS communication officer Warrant Officer Jean Olckers, said police requests the public’s assistance following the shooting on the R24 East near the Barbara off-ramp.

“The driver of a white Ford Ranger was shot and wounded and a large sum of money was robbed from another motorist. Approximately five gunmen armed with rifles and handguns were involved,” said W/O Olckers.
He said that the investigating officer Captain Andre van der Walt can be contacted on 082 556 4869 or 011-553-8681 with any information or video footage in connection to the case.
