
A 30-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his head on June 25.
Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said police officers were called to a tavern in extension 15 in Ivory Park.
“They found the victim lying in a pool of blood. The man had an open wound on his head,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
“He was later certified dead by paramedics on the scene.”
In another incident, a 31-year-old man was found lying in Glassnose Street Kaalfontein, extension 22 on June 26.
Captain Ralidzhivha said the man had marks from a sjambok on his body .
“The man was seriously injured. It was established that the man was found committing crime at a house in the street. The community apprehended him and he was assaulted,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
“We are appealing to members of the community to not dent the good work of making a citizen’s arrest by taking the law into their own hands. Is an offence to assault another person,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
