Fingerprints lead to jail sentence for four

The four were linked to various crimes with fingerprint evidence left at the scenes

THE following suspects were arrested and convicted after positive fingerprint identification was made by Sebenza SAPS, linking them to various crimes.

This is according to Sebenza SAPS spokesman, Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso.

Thirty-year-old Sifiso Macucule was linked to a theft in October 2015 and on June 21 was sentenced to five years imprisonment.

On June 27, Sphiwe Makhubu (26) was sentenced to 15 years in prison and was declared unfit to possess a firearm for his role in a business robbery.

On June 29 Mzawandile Mazibuko (27) was charged with common theft and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Thirty-two-year old Daniel Boongani Ndlovu was charged with housebreaking and theft and given a three-year sentence. He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
