The Ekurhuleni Metro Police arrested a 27-year old man on Friday in Ivory Park, Extension 2, after he was found inside a vehicle which was allegedly hijacked.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, members from the EMPD received a message from the tracking company about a signal received from a suspected hijacked vehicle. The signal came from an open veld in Ivory Park, Extension 2.
“The police proceeded to the place and on arrival they found the suspect inside the vehicle parked in the open veld. The vehicle was tested and the investigation revealed that it was hijacked at Kwamhlanga this month,” said W/O Sekgobela.
The 27-year old man was arrested and taken to the Ivory Park SAPS.
