The Olifantsfontein SAPS arrested two men, aged 24 and 26, for a business burglary at a garage on Industrial Road in Olifantsfontein.
The incident took place during the early hours of Sunday.
Olifantsfontein SAPS communications officer, Constable Mokete Serakwana, said the police received a call about a business burglary and on arrival they found a security guard who pointed them to the building where there was an ATM.
“The police found two men carrying appliances which included three hammers and a crowbar. The suspects gained entrance through the roof and they were found trying to open the safe,” said Const Serakwana.
