SAPS pounces on theft suspects

"The police received a tip off about the people who were in possession of stolen property."

The Ekurhuleni North Cluster of the Tembisa SAPS arrested two suspects for possession of presumably stolen property on July 29.

“The police received a tip off about the people who were in possession of stolen property and were said to be still offloading the goods.

“Police officers quickly rushed to the shack at Ecaleni Section where they found two men offloading generators and other items from a blue Toyota Venture,” said Constable Patricia Mgijima.

“The police wanted to know where they obtained the electronic items but the suspects could not give a satisfactory answer.

“They were then arrested and detained at the Tembisa SAPS and will appear before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court to answer a charge of possession of presumably stolen property.”
