Driver crashes into R21 wall after suffering medical emergency

Paramedics attended to the collision at about 10.25am

A driver was lucky to evade injury when his car crashed into a wall on the R21 on Wednesday morning.

According to Max Cohen of Emer-G-Med, paramedics attended to the collision opposite OR Tambo International Airport at about 10.25am.

The man apparently lost control of his car after suffering a medical emergency while driving. The vehicle then crashed into a concrete wall on the side of the freeway.

Fortunately the driver was uninjured and refused any medical treatment or transportation.
