Pedestrian killed on Pomona Road
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations
A 22-year-old man was killed on Sunday afternoon when he was hit by a car on Pomona Road.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the patient lying on the side of the road. The vehicle that hit the man was found parked a few feet away, Russel Meiring of ER24 said.
On assessment, paramedics found the man had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Paramedics immediately began CPR and initiated numerous advanced life support interventions.
Unfortunately, after 25 minutes, no vital signs returned and the patient was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle escaped without injury. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
