Three accidents on Pretoria Road on Friday night
Two pedestrians also died in separate accidents
Gauteng 911 attended to three accidents on Pretoria Road last night, as well as a fatal pedestrian accident on Kwartel Road.
“It was a busy night for emergency services in Kempton Park,” Ona Ndala of Gauteng 911 said early on Saturday morning.
At around 22.30pm crews were driving around when they came across an accident on the corner of Pretoria and Van Riebeeck roads.

“On assessment we found a BMW and taxi had collided, leaving patients of the taxi with minor injuries. They refused medical treatment,” he said.
At 1.50am they responded to an accident at the intersection of Pretoria Road and Vlei Street. Two vehicles had collided but fortunately no-one was injured.

Shortly after another collided with the pavement at the Elgin Road circle. The driver sustained minor injuries and was privately transported to hospital.
At 11pm Gauteng 911 also responded to a hit and run pedestrian accident on the corner of the P91 and Kwartel Street.
Ndala said paramedics found a woman in her 40s on the road. “She suffered multiple injuries and was declared dead on the scene.”

In another pedestrian accident at 6pm on Friday night a 32-year-old man was killed on Atlas Road near Top Road in Boksburg.
Werner Vermaak of ER24 said when paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene they found the man still trapped underneath a vehicle. Bystanders indicated the man was still alive moments before paramedics arrived on the scene.
They (paramedics) were unable to reach the man under the vehicle. The fire department lifted the car and he was pulled out from underneath, Vermaak said.
“Upon assessment paramedics found he sustained multiple fatal injuries and there was nothing they could do for him. He was declared dead on the scene. The female driver of the vehicle was not injured.”
On Saturday morning around 6.30am Gauteng 911 also responded to an accident on CR Swart Drive at the civic centre. Only one vehicle was involved, Ndala said.
One patient with minor injuries was transported to hospital.
