Operation Basadi a success

Tembisa SAPS female police members, Public Service Act (PSA) members and female members of Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) embarked on Operation Basadi on August 29.

This was an operation conducted after a parade held at the police station.

“The station commander Brigadier Vuyokazi Ndebele urged the women to go out and serve the nation but not to forget their own safety and covering each others’ back,” said Constable Patricia Mgijima.

“A total of 76 motor vehicles were stopped and searched at the operation which was held at Mqansa Section.”

Constable Mgijima said traffic fines were issued to non-complying road users and the SAPS administration members handed out pamphlets on safety tips and domestic violence.
