A man allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old man to death during an argument over a girlfriend.
According to Tembisa South SAPS the suspect was arrested for murder following the incident in Esselen Park on September 3.
Captain Neldah Sekgobela said it is alleged by the complainant that two men were fighting over a girl.
“The suspect took out a knife and stabbed the complainant’s brother in his upper body.
“The complainant tried to separate the men but they continued to fight until the complainant asked for assistance from a man who was driving past in a bakkie,” said Captain Sekgobela.
Captain Sekgobela said the man managed to separate the two men who were fighting and he put them inside his vehicle.
“He drove with them to Tembisa South SAPS in order to seek help.
“On arrival at the Tembisa South SAPS the victim, originally from Eastern Cape, was certified dead by the paramedics and the suspect was taken to the hospital,” said Captain Sekgobela.
“He will appear in court after his discharge from hospital,” said Captain Sekgobela.
