Two nailed trying to sell hijacked trailers

The hijacked trailers were displaying false number plates

TWO men were arrested near Bredell on September 8 when they tried to sell two hijacked trailers.

The trucks were hijacked in Cape Town in July and the trailers were recovered in Germiston. The two suspects were nailed where they had arranged to collect the money from the buyers.

EMPD K9 Unit members recovered the hijacked trailers displaying false number plates.

A tip off led to the unit, Benoni CPF and police members waylaying the “sellers” at a location in Bredell. The pair, aged 51 and 38, were arrested and detained at Benoni Police Station on charges of possession of hijacked vehicles.
