Kempton Express would like to state that the dead baby found on Oorbietjie Street in Aston Manor, was not found in rubbish originating from the school.
The workers only made the discovery opposite the school when they stopped to compact rubbish already collected at residential houses along their route.

“We were about ready to compact the rubbish bags when we saw something that looked like blood coming from one of the bags. We then saw the baby,” said one of the workers who wished to remain anonymous.
The workers shared their discovery with a woman who came out of the school. She notified Alpha Security about the incident. ER24 and Kempton Park SAPS arrived on the scene shortly after.
“We suspect the mother who dumped the body for the refuse truck to take away might live on Oorbietjie Street, as the truck didn’t go very far down the street before they made the discovery. Police will have to investigate further,” said Morne Le Grange from Alpha Security.
The forensic department and crime scene photographers were still on their way to the scene to take the body away when Express was there. An inquest docket was opened by the police and they will investigate the matter.
