Two suspects were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle at Ehlanzeni Section on September 15.
Captain Neldah Sekgobela said the two suspects, aged 28 and 31, were arrested by Tembisa South SAPS for possession of a white Mazda 323.
“The vehicle was stolen in Hilbrow this month. Police received a tip-off from members of the community about a suspicious vehicle parked inside a yard,” said Captain Sekgobela.
“Tembisa South Police visited the place and on arrival police found two males sitting inside the car.
“When asked about the documents for the vehicle, they failed to produce any and police proceeded into the house where they found suspicious documents of stolen vehicles.
“One document was for a vehicle which was stolen in Alexandra in October 2014 while the other was for a Nissan Hardbody stolen in Hillbrow in February this year,” said Captain Sekgobela.
