WARNING: Thunderstorms predicted for Gauteng today

THE Ekurhuleni Metro has sent out a warning to residents on its Facebook page regarding predicted thunderstorms for Gauteng.

The severe weather conditions have been predicted for this afternoon and evening.

According to the South African Weather Service there’s a 60 per cent chance of showers in parts of the province.

Gauteng residents can expect 15mm of rain with the storms predicted to “carry on throughout the week and into the weekend”, the metro said.

“Average temperatures are minimum 14 and maximum 26 with sunrise just after 5am and sunset just before 7pm.”
