The twin brothers started as firefighters before one fell in love with the Metro Police Department
THE Ekurhuleni Community Safety Department has announced how proud it is to have the passion of the Sambo identical twin brothers in both the Emergency Services and Metro Police Department respectively.
The brothers are 37 years old.
Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) spokesman, William Ntladi, said the twin brothers started as firefighters before one fell in love with the Metro Police Department.
“Meshack Sambo is with the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Bike Unit based in Kempton Park as a supervisor, while his brother is a shift manager at Edenvale Fire station,” said Ntladi.
“Previously it was difficult to make out who was who between the two, especially when they were wearing the same uniform while on duty.”
Ntladi pointed out that members of the public are still puzzled by the brothers, particularly when both are on the same scene, in their respective lines of duty.
Both are still studying through the Tshwane University of Technology, in their separate career fields.
