City Rock Friends give back to the community

This visit is an annual event at the club since its formation in 2013

City Rock Friends’ Club Kempton Park paid a visited to and donated groceries to Casa Caritas, a home for differently abled and mentally challenged people on December 9.

The objectives of this visit were to fulfill one of the club’s constitutional responsibilities, to donate groceries, to pray with the residents of the home as well as to show the residents of Casa Caritas that they were always in our thoughts, said Chukwudi Austin-willy Udeh, a member of the club.

“Above all, the visit was to sensitise members of the club to the needs of the less privileged in our community. This visit is an annual event at the club since its formation in 2013. A plan has been put in place to visit at least two less privileged homes every year and donate not just food items but also money to assist in the running cost of these homes, starting in 2017.

“City Rock friend’s Club, situated on Long Street, calls on all clubs in Kempton Park to make it a constitutional responsibility to donate to at least one less privileged home every year.”

The club was formed in 2012 and registered in 2013 with the aim of assisting members to live responsibly and to aspire to reach greater heights in the business and academic world through fair dealings.
