Pomona mother wins charity title at pageant

Entries for next year are open

A Pomona mother won the charity title at this year’s Lady Gracious pageant hosted in Boksburg.

Nadia van der Merwe, mother of two boys, was one of the finalists competing for the overall title.

“It is one night I will never forget and always cherish.  I cannot explain the joy I felt, even though I did not win the overall title. This has been an amazing journey for my whole family,” she said.

“Going forward I will continue with my own charity, Little Brave Hearts, where we go out to peadiatric oncology wards to hand out little treat packs for the little ones to cheer them up with something sweet in a moment of sour.

“If anyone wants to make a donation, they are welcome to get in touch with me via email at nadiavdmerwe123@gmail.com.

“A big thank you to all who supported me.”

Entries for next year are open. If you want to go on an amazing journey, then this is for you, no matter what your size or looks. It is what is inside your heart that matters. Go to www.lady-gracous.co.za to enter.
