While Terenure/Kempton Park West and Van Riebeeck Park patrollers were out on patrol  on Monday night,  they got a call that a sealed box was found with a cat inside.

Patrollers made holes in the box for the cat to breathe and took him to the SPCA. While waiting there for someone to open, patrollers  saw a dog, which could not walk, dumped outside the gate.

The dog was lifted into a wheelbarrow and taken to kennel, as well as the cat.

According to Jan du Toit, the Alsation was humanely euthanased after it was discovered it suffered from severe hip dysplasia.
