#MakingIt – Man makes a living out of music
Phumlani Nkosi shows young people that music is business.
A young Tembisan man has chosen a rare music genre and has turned it into a business.
While young people are immersed in the hip hop scene, Phumlani Nkosi sings Zion gospel music and has released a DVD.
“Young people know my music but they encouraged me to record a DVD,” said Mr Nkosi.
He said he has released a CD and a DVD.
“I do my own distribution and the challenge is getting my music to remote, rural areas.
“People love my music, so I am appealing to investors who can assist with distribution to expand my footprint,” said Mr Nkosi.
He said he wants to see his music selling in major retail stores.
