Lucky shopper wins a car

"The customers were expected to buy anything that cost over R100."

A Roots lucky shopper has started 2017 in a set of new wheels, which she won in December.

Roots manager Luis D Freitas said from April 2016 Roots butchery advertised a win a car competition inside the store.

“The customers were expected to buy anything that cost over R100. They signed their slip on the back and included their name, ID number and cellphone number.

They then put the slip into a box provided by the store,” said Mr Freitas.

Mr Freitas said the draw was held and 10 qualifying slips were picked. The fanalists were then contacted on the day of the draw.

He said Ms Venessa Segopdso Seisa was the lucky winner of a Datsun Go.
